Baby Remember My Name edited by Michelle Tea was the first book I was published in. The book showcases the personal stories of queer writers in their twenties, published by Carroll And Graf Publishers.

I got the opportunity to read a story opening for Michelle in Portland, and by the end of the show, she’d asked me to submit the story I’d read to the book she was editing. I was also invited to fly to San Francisco to read at Radar Reading series at the SF Library, where she famously handed out fresh baked cookies at every reading. Being part of this book really set me on my path as a writer and I’m forever grateful for the experience.
