I was a contributing author for It's So You, edited by Michelle Tea, whose memoir Valencia inspired me to become a writer. The book also featured contributions from Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), poet laureate Eileen Miles, screenwriter Jill Soloway, and model/actor Jenny Shimizu. I had a memorable time promoting the book and connecting with audiences on tour… and I enjoyed lots of karaoke at local dives across the country.
